Teaching Excellence

OLPH Academy students are effective communicators who purposefully read, write, and speak across multiple disciplines. Students express ideas and knowledge through a variety of modalities. Students engage with high-quality texts and digital media to develop comprehension, active listening, and discussion skills.  Students are critical thinkers who identify problems, find solutions, and analyze outcomes in service of becoming productive citizens. OLPH Academy also works to foster a strong Catholic identity.  A strong Catholic Identity will cultivate students who understand their purpose in the world, are rooted in faith and are prepared to be servant leaders. At the same time, they enable students to reach their academic potential and to eventually apply the thinking and decision making required to be good citizens. A singular focus on one at the expense of the other will make it difficult to distinguish the school in the marketplace.
