Discover Elementary
In our Elementary Program at OLPH Academy we strive continue the form the whole child - spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Elementary continues their formation from an early age. All students from 1st through 5th grade, attend a weekly school mass. In the 2nd Grade, students are prepared for their First Communion throughout the year with the partnership of the parents. Students are provided the opportunity for confession and prayer is included throughout the day. Also, students in 3rd grade and beyond, have the opportunity to serve as Altar Servers for the weekly school masses and/or along with our church masses throughout the week. The students spiritual journey is developed and fostered on a daily basis throughout our school days.
In addition to core focus areas of education, the Elementary students attend library and computer classes on a weekly basis. Their love of reading and growing shine through as they navigate the tools at their fingertips. With technology growing, the students are able to develop their tech skills with tools such as Google Workspace for Education, coding programs, digital creation, and 3D printing design to name a few.
Elementary students, starting in certain grades, have the opportunity to be a part of Student Clubs. Third grade through 5th grade students have the opportunity to be a part of Student Council and starting in 4th grade, students will be able to participate in a school cheer/dance group, called the Eaglettes. We are always looking for ways to provide more opportunities for group and leader formation.
Elementary students have their own playground separate from Early Childhood (PK2-K5), see some pics below:
